DAVID ZANDI
While extremely well versed in all aspects of real estate law, David is particularly adept and experienced in purchases, sales, leases, and refinances of residential and commercial real estate throughout New York State, having representing individuals and corporations alike. The responsiveness, attention to detail, and the personalized care with which David manages each transaction has become the trademark of Zandi Rutstein LLP.
Prior to Zandi Rutstein, David was associated with well known New York City firms including Shupack & Hardy, Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld, and also served as Associate General Counsel to Domio, Inc.
David has been voted a New York Super Lawyer for 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026, is admitted to practice law in both New York and Florida, and is an alum of Cardozo School of Law and from New York University.

JOSHUA RUTSTEIN
Josh advises secured lenders, specialty finance clients, and entrepreneurs on credit transactions and corporate matters. His practice includes secured loan origination and documentation, lien priority, collateral protection, loan modifications, forbearance agreements, and enforcement strategy, with a focus on receivables-based financing and contract-rights collateral.
Before joining the firm, Josh represented financial institutions, alternative capital providers, and business development companies in private credit and commercial finance transactions, including mezzanine, unitranche, first- and second-lien, debtor-in-possession, and other secured and unsecured lending arrangements.
Josh also serves as outside general counsel to SMB and emerging companies, guiding clients through corporate formation, governance, commercial contracting, capital raising, and acquisitions/dispositions—providing the responsive “outside GC” support that founders and operators need as they grow.
Josh is admitted to practice law in New York and received his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware.
